Learn how to Upload Custom Fonts.
Uploaded Font Licensing
When uploading a font within Brand, a pop up will appear asking for license confirmation. Users assume all responsibility in compliance with font licensing restrictions.
Recommended Font File Types
There are two primary font file types - OTF (Open Type Font) and TTF (True Type Font).
TTF files are recommended for use within the MustHaveMenus software, as they generally render more consistently than other font file types.
There are several free online tools that can convert OTF files to TTF format, which can be found with a quick search.
Uploaded Font Confirmation
After uploading a custom font for use, MustHaveMenus recommends performing a confirmation check on the font rendering.
This example will focus on the TRENDEX font.
The TRENDEX custom font has been applied to Extras text, but the font name is showing the .TTF file extension, an indicator there may be a rendering issue with the font.
To confirm accurate rendering of an uploaded font, download a design, either from within the design editor, or from the Home page.
Download a Design to Check Uploaded Fonts from within the Design Editor
From within the design editor, select the Download button from the top right.
Select a file type by clicking Standard PDF to expose options.
Select the desired file type.
Select Download.
Review the downloaded PDF.
In this example, the TRENDEX font used on the Extras is not rendering accurately, indicating an issue with the font.
Download a Design to Check Uploaded Fonts from Home
From the home page, select the ••• (ellipsis) in the upper right of the desired design.
Select Download.
Check to select the desired file type, and then click the Download button.
Review the downloaded PDF.
In this example, the TRENDEX font used on the Extras is not rendering accurately, indicating an issue with the font.
Resolving Uploaded Font Issues
The easiest way to resolve rendering issues with an uploaded font is to remove the problematic font file from Brand, and replace it with a functioning version.
Within Brand, locate the problematic font, and click the Trash can icon to the right of the font name.
A pop up will appear.
Confirm the removal of the font by selecting Ok.
The font will be removed from Uploaded Fonts.
Follow the steps to Upload Custom Fonts to replace the problematic font with a new version.
